The Ellen Pompeo deserves an Emmy and a Golden Globe, A Sag and Peoples Choice award campaign

Anyone who saw Grey's Anatomy season 6 finale on Thursday May 20nth 2010 would know exactly why this campaign came about. It needs no explaining how amazing, talented Ellen Pompeo is. Those two hours showed us amazing depth, drama and unrivaled skills in acting from Pompeo that brought so many fans and viewers to tears. It was amazing reading all the reviews by newspapers and fans alike about how much Ellen Pompeo deserves an Emmy now more than ever.

Anyone who knows Ellen’s road down Grey's Anatomy history, from season 1 to 6, knows how much she has evolved and how much she turned this amazing, most complex, most human character "Meredith grey" into one of TVs most talked about, most controversial and most loved lead characters of any TV show. A lead in every sense of the word she has managed to take Grey's Anatomy into a whole new direction. She is the Grey in Grey's Anatomy and never forgot to thank her fans who made it what it is. Down to earth, grateful, beautiful gorgeous person inside out, and one staggering talented actress. The 2010 lead drama Emmy goes to... Ellen Pompeo.

All in all, it was a very well-done finale, but it got away from the writers just a little at the end. With the shooter seemingly everywhere you didn't want him and everyone trapped with precisely the most dramatic person possible, it got a little ridiculous. But in the end, the acting — including big nights for Chandra Wilson, Sandra Oh and Ellen Pompeo — carried it off. - MSNBC

The finale boasted fine work from all of the show's regulars, including from the always wonderful Chandra Wilson and the sometimes unfairly undervalued Ellen Pompeo. But it was a particularly good episode for Sandra Oh, capping what has been a very good season. - USA Today

We have one word to sum up last night's season finale of Grey's Anatomy: Emmys. Emmys all around. One for Ellen Pompeo. One for Sandra Oh. One For Chandra Wilson. One for Mandy Moore . The list goes on and on and on. - Perez Hilton

Amazing acting all around, from Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey to Sandra Oh. - Zap2It

The Grey’s Anatomy two-hour season finale took off with a bang Thursday as viewers watched a mad man shoot his way through Seattle Grace Hospital in his vengeful hunt for Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). An episode that brought out the best in favorites Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Alex (Justin Chambers), Miranda (Chandra Wilson) and Callie (Sara Ramirez), at one point it had me on my feet shouting “Dr. Yang (Sandra Oh) is the shit!” - Daytime Confidential

Some of the FANS tweeted after the finale:

The list goes on and on.. Hundreds wrote the same thing; How amazing the performances were.

The questions remains, will the Emmy and Golden Globe people see it the way the whole world sees it?? The way it actually is?? Or will they remain blindsided intentionally like they have been the past few years???
